REVIEW: Late Night Pharmacy – ‘Is It Because’
Hey Rocky Road’ers I hope you had a great weekend in the sunshine and to kick off Monday in style I have an awesome new band coming your way.
Let me indroduce you to Late Night Pharmacy and their amazing new single ‘Is It Because’ and wow is it a song you’ll be having on repeat and telling all your friends about. As Late Night Pharmacy are a band that harness the power of everything that makes the genre of alt rock so brilliant, however, Late Night Pharmacy go above and beyond by incorporating elements of other genres such as shoegaze
Speaking ahead of their upcoming release, the band explained: “Unlike most of the songs in the band’s back catalogue, ‘Is It Because’ is a very personal song, with lyrics describing an unrequited romantic attraction in blunt, unsentimental language.”
What I found about ‘Is It Because’ is how Late Night Pharmacy are talented lyricists penning a heartfelt and personal song with an alt rock backdrop perfectly complimenting the track. I can hear the influences from the likes of Interpol, Death Cab for Cutie, Radiohead, and Smashing Pumpkins leaking through into their own musicial greatness.
